Genital warts removal can be done in several ways. However the best way to remove genital warts is to do so with a healthy immune system. The symptoms of this virus are a result of a lowered immune system. An application of liquid nitrogen. This must be administered in a doctors office. The doctor will take liquid nitrogen and through a procedure called cryotherapy he or she will apply the nitrogen to the infected areas. The downside to this treatment is that it can be very painful and it requires MULTIPLE visits to the doctor’s office.

Another genital warts removal method is the application of podophyllin. This is also a treatment that needs to be applied by a doctor. It’s a weekly cream application that has an effectiveness rating of 55%. This treatment can be very expensive and only works half of the time. Not worth it in my opinion.

Another method of how to remove genital warts is a procedure called LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure). This method involves the doctor taking a sharp instrument (shaped like a loop) and cutting underneath the wart to remove it from the skin. This procedure can be effective but it can leave scars and it also does not work on the root symptoms and causes of of the virus so it’s not a real cure for genital warts.

If you have very large warts in your genital area you can try a procedure that removes the wart with a CO2 laser.

A final step for genital warts removal is using injections of Interferon. The doctor injects the Interferon directly into the wart. Interferon is a chemical that your body makes to fight infection. It is thought that this procedure will help your body’s immune system fight off the infection. The downside to this procedure is that it has to be done twice a week for up to 8 weeks and it costs about $200 a treatment. That’s a LOT of money!
